Privacy Policy
Last updated: 2026-08-22
Revised: August 2026
This policy governs naturemarks.com. Naturemarks’s subject is Naturemarks; this page is about the information involved in publishing it and reading it.
Signing Up for Email
The newsletter is confirmed opt-in: you enter an address, we email to check it was really you, and only then are you added. Every message we send carries a one-click unsubscribe and our postal address. Leaving is immediate and permanent.
How Long We Keep It
Retention runs only as long as the original purpose. Once that ends — you unsubscribe, a comment is deleted, an analytics window closes — the data goes. We apply reasonable technical and organisational safeguards including access restriction and transport encryption, while acknowledging that no system is immune to compromise.
What We Hold
Information reaches us in two ways. Automatically, through server logs and any analytics tool in use — IP address, device, browser, referrer, and which of our guides, comparisons and reference pages were opened. Directly, through anything you fill in: a newsletter box, a comment form, or an email.
A specific note for readers interested in Naturemarks: we ask readers not to send us sensitive personal details, and we delete rather than retain anything of that kind that reaches us unprompted.
Children
Nothing here is directed at children. The site assumes an adult reader, we do not knowingly collect information from anyone under 13 (16 where required), and any such data discovered is deleted promptly.
What It Is Used For
It is used to run the site, to improve what we publish by seeing which pages are read, to honour newsletter subscriptions, and to serve advertising where that is in place.
Vendors and Partners
Several providers may be involved in delivering naturemarks.com — hosting, analytics, email delivery, and advertising networks. Where a provider determines its own purposes (advertising and analytics vendors typically do), it is an independent controller and its policy governs what it does.
Choices Available to You
Readers in the UK and EU have GDPR rights; readers in California and other US states have comparable rights under CCPA/CPRA and similar statutes. In practice this means you can ask to see, correct, delete, or export your data, object to certain processing, and opt out of sale or sharing for advertising. We honour Global Privacy Control. The State Privacy Notice and Do Not Sell or Share pages have the detail.
Cookies
Browser storage is dealt with in full by the Cookie Policy, including how to refuse it.

Where advertising is served, third-party vendors including Google may use cookies to serve ads based on your prior visits to this and other websites. Google’s use of advertising cookies enables it and its partners to serve ads to you based on your visit to this site and/or other sites on the internet. You may opt out of personalised advertising by visiting Google Ads Settings, or opt out of a third-party vendor’s use of cookies for personalised advertising at www.aboutads.info.
